President, Bill Clinton said he was convinced
that the people protesting outside probably had
something to say. He went on to suggest that
some of them be allowed in.
But that was during a dinner speech ..

Launched in 1999 as a multi-stakeholder
partnership Initiative and a framework for
bridging Africas Digital divide.

Structuring
- Â The Africa Civil Society for the Information
Society - ACSIS was launched in April 2004 in
Tunis.
- The Action Plans for 2005, 2005 2007 and
2005-2015 are ready and implementation is
underway.
- ACSIS has a coordinating bureau at regional,
subregional and national levels
- It also includes a stragtegic planning group
