Homework

• Homework will begin on Monday, August 28.
• All homework is due the next day after being
  assigned (unless it is a long-term project).
• If a student is absent, make-up work will be due
  within a reasonable amount of time (not to exceed
  one week).
• Assignments not turned in on time are expected
  the next day. If not received then, the student
  may miss extra activities in order to make-up
  the work.
• Any work overdue by the second day results in a
  grade of zero.

• Homework will vary each night with its
  activities.
• However, your child will be responsible for
  reading 15 minutes every night whether it be a
  book or part of their reading group work.
• Also, your child will have activities such as
  studying Spelling words, Excel Math, Saxon
  Phonics, and Writing.

• Homework is an important part of your childs
  school experience. Supporting good work habits
  requires a joint effort. I will support your
  child and encourage good work habits at school.
  Your child will benefit greatly from your support
  and encouragement at home.

Friday Folders

• Each week, your child will bring home a Friday
  Folder with that weeks graded work assignments,
  tests, weekly behavior chart, and a weekly
  newsletter from the teacher updating you on
  upcoming events and activities.

Conferences

• Please sign-up for a conference tonight with the
  teacher.
• It is very important that we, the teacher and
  parents, meet together to discuss your childs
  progress and growth.
• Keep in mind that you are V.I.Ps (Very Important
  Partners) in your childs success.
