Program Goals

• Provide internship opportunities for second
  generation of overseas Taiwanese to obtain
  in-depth understanding of Taiwan, develop a
  strong bond with the nation, increase
  international support for Taiwan.
• Promote interchanges of ideas between local and
  foreign students, and elevate language
  capabilities of local Taiwanese youth.

Candidate Qualification and Expenses

• Between 18 30 years of age
• Must be of Taiwanese Descent
• Emigrated from Taiwan before age 12 or began and
  completed junior high through high school in a
  foreign country.
  
• Must be able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese
  or English.
  

• Paid by Interns
• Round-trip airfare to/from Taiwan
• Living expenses in Taiwan
• Provided by National Science Council
• Subsidy of NT1,000/day
• Total of NT 50,000 (no absences)
• Funded by National Science Council
• One-week orientation
• Weekend trip
• Academic Conference and Award Night banquet
