Regulatory Acts in the sphere of electrical
connections
  • Regulation on the Agency of connections
    regulation which was approved by the Government
    Resolution of the Republic of Tajikistan as of
    03.05.2005?.In this regard, the building up of
    the Agency is being taken place. The Agency will
    be involved in the following tasks
    implementation
  • Licensing of the activities in the sphere of
    communications,
  • Certification of the communications system and
    communications devices,
  • Numeration plan distribution,
  • Control on the electrical connections networks at
    the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan

    Republic of Tajikistan is covered with the
    mountains and with the aim of providing the
    equitable access for the population to the
    telecommunication services, the area of coverage
    is permanently expanded in

  • Hard-to-reach areas of the Republic.

Increase of Subscribers
  • Number of subscribers of cellular makes 400
    thousand people
  • Number of subscribers of local telephone
    connections totals 263612 people
  • Number of arranged points using collective
    telematic services is 683 units

  • Currently there are 312 telephone stations
    operating within the Republic of Tajikistan out
    of which
  • 260 ATS Cross-bar
  • 52 ATS Digital .
  • The telephone network of common usage was
    upgraded on the basis of modern digital
    technology. SDH - ring was set up according to
    the STM-4 system.

  • Taking this into account and for the purpose of
    modernization of existing transport network of
    telecommunications of the Republic, the Ministry
    of Communication has developed the investment
    project Transport network of telecommunications
    of the Republic of Tajikistan. The use of common
    transport telecommunications network will allow
    to use investments effectively and minimize the
    costs of all ministries, agencies, private
    companies and service delivery electrical
    operators on construction and operations of
    similar systems.

  • Developed project provides the construction of
    fiber-optic communications line on the basis of
    DWDM, SDH technology. Data transmission flow of
    designing network is organized at the level of
    STM-1, STM-4, ST?-16 systems with the
    transmission speed from 155 ?? 2048 MBP/s. Such
    levels of the system are chosen to ensure the
    networks development for the potential
    possibility of additional channels networkable,
    cable TV that will give the opportunity of
    connection of digital telephone stations in urban
    areas and other settlements of Republic with the
    exit to the domestic and international traffic.

  • Thus, the Government of Tajikistan recognizes
    the significance of telecommunication sector for
    the country economic development and, in this
    regard, this sector is declared as one of the
    most priority sectors in the country.
