Blessed to be a blessing

• God has blessed us with many things and it is our
  goal to create this relationship so that we can
  use the blessings that God has given us to in
  turn bless others.

The Ordiales Family

• We have enjoyed getting to know Pastor Leo and
  his family.
• His daughter, Merisha, is presently living in the
  United States and attending school in Holland,
  MI.
• Elma is on staff at GCCS and she has done an
  excellent job of sharing the life stories of
  students at GCCS.
• Leo is pastor of the church that is attached to
  the school, he has helped organize the sponsor
  students, he keeps us updated on the progress of
  the school, and finds other ways for us to get to
  know the school community.

Sponsor Students

• The Zeeland Christian Community sponsors students
  in the Philippines by paying 275 a year so that
  they can attend school. This covers a full year
  of tuition.
• This year 78 students in the Philippines are
  being supported by families, classes, groups of
  friends, and individuals.

Fundraisers

• Every Christmas ZCS has a fundraiser to raise
  more money for GCCS. Students find creative ways
  to raise money like swimming, baking, cleaning,
  babysitting, and making jewelry.

Forming Relationships

• ZCS students not only raise money to educate
  students in the Philippines, they also develop
  relationships with the students there by
  exchanging letters, pictures, and drawings.

Many ZCS staff members have also been in contact
with the staff members of GCCS.

Visiting GCCS

• In the summer of 1999, 9 students, 2 teachers,
  and a board member flew to the Philippines to
  visit GCCS and continue developing relationships
  with the people there.

• They taught lessons in the classes, sang
  songs, lead a chapel, and enjoyed worshiping
  with them during the church service on Sunday.

Pastor Leo Visiting Zeeland

• Pastor Leo and Elma visited Zeeland in November
  of 2002.
• After the initial shock of the cold weather and
  the snow, Pastor Leo spent his time here leading
  classes and chapels at ZCS and other local
  schools and churches.

Watching GCCS Grow

• Over the past 6 years Grace Christian has grown
  in size both their facilities and their student
  body.
• They have added a
• preschool room,
• computer lab, science
• room, library, and
• classrooms.

Continuing this relationship

• In the future we hope to continue this
  relationship with Grace Christian and Pastor Leo.
• In the spring of 2006 we hope to send a group of
  teachers and students.
