1. Overview
- Featured Products Extension allows you to
define your featured products and helps to
drive more customers attention to your most
profitable products in the Magento web-
store. This extension will definitely boost your
revenue opportunities by attracting the
customers interest in your products that you
want them to buy.
Overview - The Featured Products Magento
Extension is an effective tool to grab the
attention of the maximum number of
customers to your store. You can display the list
of featured products category wise too.
The Featured Products is a mandatory Magento
Module for your store. This extension will
help you to promote your featured products on any
page and allows you the flexibility to
customize it to any store by using our intuitive
user interface. - The Featured
Products 3 is the next generation of the Featured
Products Extension. The previous versions
(Featured Products 1.x and 2.x) will not be
further developed to support the
new Magento versions.

3. Installation Process 1.
Create full backup of your site (both files and
database) 2. !!!VERY IMPORTANT!!! Go to admin
panel -gt System -gt Tools -gt Compilation and
make sure that Compiler Status is disabled. If
it's not, please change it to disabled. If
you plan to use the compilation after installing
the extension, please click 'Run Compilation
Process' button after you complete the
extension installation. 3. Copy files to the
magneto root folder log in as admin and refresh
all caches (System gt Cache
Management) 4. Go to Admin PanelgtgtCMSgtgtPagesgtgtHo
me PagegtgtContent and paste following

4. Featured Products Configuration
1. Go to the System gtgt Configuration gtgtBrainvire
gtgtFeatured Products backend page. 2. The General
section allows specifying settings of the label
displayed on the Product page a. In the
Heading field, set Featured Products. b.
In the Heading Of CMS Block field, give the
heading Featured Products c. In the Meta
Title field, give the heading Featured
Products c. The Meta Description give the
description of the module. d. In the Meta
Keywords field, enter the text featured,
products e. In the Layout field, select
appropriate layout f. In the Sort by in Main
Block field, select the option as by which you
want to sort the featured product list
Random/ Last Added g. In the Number of
Items in Main Block field, enter the number 5
h. In the Number of Items per row in Main Block
field, enter the number of items in each
row 3 i. In the View field, select how you
want to see the featured product list

5. Adding Individual Product to Featured Products
- The Featured Products extension adds an option
in the Product Information panel General 1. Go to
the Catalog gtgt Manage Products backend page and
click the required product. 2. In the Product
Information page, open the General section. 3. In
the Featured Product field, set Yes.

- The Featured Products extension adds an option
in the Catalog Tab 1. Go to the Catalog gtgt
Featured Products backend page 2. Click on the
check boxes in front of the products you want to
show in featured product list 3. Click on Save
