out of compliance with the Rule. These systems
must submit a plan on how they are going to
comply with the Rule - Monitoring Reporting- violations have declined
over the past few years, new rules have numerous
new requirements - NOVs - Public water systems that continue to
incur water quality monitoring and consumer
confidence reporting violations will receive
Notices of Violation with Civil Penalty. Check
your monitoring and reporting schedule on the DPH
website.
11OPERATOR CERTIFICATION
- Community and non-transient non-community public
water systems are required to have a certified
operator for their public water system. - Enforcement for Systems that fail to retain or
employ an operator - Duties and responsibilities should clarified and
documented between system owner and system
operator

review of the plan by providing streamlined
tools, assessments, and hands-on technical
