I Want to Learn About Sushi!

• SUSHI!

What is Sushi???

• SUSHI IS a Japanese delicacy combining rice, raw
  fish and sometimes seaweed to little morsels. You
  dip them in soy sauce and if you are tough you
  put a bit of wasabi on top of the morsel, too!
  Wasabi is very hot - like our sushi-project!
• Some Sushi Vocabulary
• Sushi a la carte
• aji -- horse mackerel
• akagai -- ark shell
• Maki-zushi (sushi rolls)
• maki-mono -- vinegared rice and fish (or other
  ingredients) rolled in nori seaweed
  
• tekka-maki -- tuna-filled maki-zushi
• Other sushi terms
• nigiri(-zushi) -- pieces of raw fish over
  vinegared rice balls
  
• Edomae-zushi -- same as nigiri-zushi
