- The Seattle Space Needle is 605 ft. high
- People go there because you can see all of the
city and the mountains close by.

- 1942- the Grand Coulee Dam is completed.
- 1998- Bill Gates, head of Microsoft, becomes the

- 1896- Settlers moved to Washington because gold
was discovered in Canada.
- 1962- a Worlds Fair called Century 21 is held in
Seattle.
