Title: Help
1 Help Revive I-275!
I-275
What Volunteers needed for helping clean up
the I-275 Bike Path. The bike path is a 40 mile
long trail that runs through Wayne, Oakland and
Monroe counties, and links many communities in
southeast Michigan. It was built in the 1970s in
response to the energy crisis. Today the trail,
while still used by diehard cyclists and other
non-motorized transportation enthusiasts, is in
need of repair and general clean up and
maintenance. The Friends of the I-275 Bike Path
are asking for volunteers to help in our efforts.
We will be working on the section of the path
that runs through the Canton area and we would
greatly appreciate support from the community.
The clean up will include trimming back brush,
scraping weeds out of pavement cracks, and other
general trail maintenance.
Where South end of the bike path. We will meet
at the Holiday Inn Express, 3950 S Lotz (Lotz and
Michigan Avenue) at the east most end of the
parking lot.
