  • Length of Class Approximately 2-3 hours per
    class for 7 days

  • Our curriculum will be based on the ideas of John
    Dewey, Lev Vygostsky, structure of the
    Connecticut arts and social studies curriculum
    framework and Robert Slavins Cooperative
    Learning Strategies (STAD)

  • Our main goal is to insure that the students gain
    a thorough understanding of the history of
    flamenco dance while having fun.
  • Students will walk away with the knowledge and
    appreciation of flamenco dance and the role that
    it plays in Spanish culture.

  • Students will be evaluated based upon their class
    participation (working actively within their
    groups, and producing thought provoking and
    creative work).
  • Students will be evaluated on their interview
    presentation, in addition to the questions that
    were asked for their interview and a 2 page paper
    summarizing the interview and other information
    that they would like to add.
  • Students will be evaluated on how well they do on
    their vocabulary quiz .
  • Students will be evaluated on their journal
    entries
