Our hypothesis was If pond studies are done in
different regions of the world Then different
macroinvertebrates will be found.
We conducted our pond study during our school
trip to Sharpe Reservation in Fishkill, NY. It
was a cold day in the low 50s and it had rained
all night.

• After spending a lot of time chasing tadpoles and
  catching a turtle we found the following
  macroinvertebrates
• Crayfish
• Bloodworm (midge fly larva)
• Whirligig beetles
• 2 riffle beetles and one larva

• Leech
• Damsel fly nymphs
• Dragon fly nymphs
• 1 Scuds
• boatman beetles
• Lots of Snails!
