Cryptic Coloration

• Allows the animal to blend in with its
  environment to avoid being detected
• Predators and prey use this adaptation
• The Rhinoceros Viper uses camouflage to go
  undetected. It virtually invisible on the forest
  floor.

Mimicking

• When animals display a false feature to dissuade
  other animals from attacking
• They mimic animals that are dangerous
• They use their eyes and appendages to appear
  dangerous
• There are 3 species of Dart Frogs
• Only one is poisonous
• They all look alike
• Predators can not tell which is which so they
  avoid all of them
