IOTI Training Grant
  • Provides outreach training in Utah, state funding
    to assist Utah's disability service agencies and
    consumer organizations in providing training and
    technical assistance.
  • The Interagency Outreach Training Initiative
    (IOTI) addresses training gaps, particularly
    those where other funding is not available such
    as paraprofessional education.
  • In addition, the IOTI facilitates coordination of
    training efforts among disability service
    agencies and consumer groups in Utah.
  • Provides funding to train paraprofessionals and
    consumers.

  • Trained over 56 Planners State Wide/ CRPs,
    Professional , UILC, DSDHH
  • Training included 5 day/ 2 day with completed
    field assignment.

  • MIG partnering Extensive outreach, partnering

Utahs Project
  • Every Referral receiving services meets face to
    face with a Benefit Specialist.
  • The Benefit Summary is presented in person
  • Ongoing Support through VR Counselor, CRP, DWS
    Employment Counselor, DSPD Service Brokers.

Sustainability
  • Demonstrating the value of Benefits Planning to
    partner agencies
  • SSA WIPA Grant
  • Building Blocks for permanent FTEs within the VR
    agency

  • Continued response to RFP from IOTI (state
    dollars) for training funds
  • Expanding Partnerships with employment provider
    agencies and maintain TA role
