  • Students will form groups, assigning everyone a
    job.
  • Predict, Clarify, Question, and Summarize.
  • Students will predict, clarify, question, and
summarize their expectations of their upcoming
    field trip.

7
Field Trip Bemis Underground
  • Here, students will see working artists and their
    exhibitions on Contemporary Art.

8
You Ought to Be in Pictures
This Strategy will encourage students to not only
look at a picture, But look at it from different
perspectives.
9
Group Project
  • The students will make a 2-D or 3-D piece of art
in groups of threes. The students will collect
non-perishable items and will be able to make a
piece of art of what everyone has accumulated.
This is a great strategy to encourage students to
think outside the box and work together.

10
Graffiti Boards
  • Individually create a self portrait collage from
    magazines. magazines provided by teacher.
  • During this project, students may post their
inquiries about the project while working. Also,
they my comment on other students work.

11
Guided Imagery
  • Guided Imagery is a strategy that capitalizes on
    students active imaginations.
  • I will have students close their eyes and set up
a scene of an art exhibition with the projects
    they just created.
  • After the field trip, they will have an
understanding on what a museum looks like, and
they will use their imagination to carry them
away. I will explain the sights, smells, and
noises. This strategy will create excitement and
    encourage the students to dream.

12
Exhibition
  • Set up a space in the classroom for students to
create their own exhibition like in a museum.
This will be a great method for students to
understand the work it takes exhibiting art as
    well as cooperation.

13
Critique
  • Have students perform a positive critique on the
class exhibition and have a group discussion. As
a class, we will walk to each piece after it has
been displayed. We will question and observe it
giving a chance for everyone to speak in the work
they created or comment on other students.

14
Save the Last Word for Me
  • After the critique, we will sit down in groups
and have five note cards saying
  • Agree with
  • Disagree with
  • Have heard before
