Day 1 Departure Santo Domingo
Depart from the USA Buen viaje! Arrive in the
Dominican capital of Santo Domingo, meet your
tour manager, and enjoy your first taste of
island life! Tour through the Colonial Zone, a
UNESCO World Culture Site. Visit the first
Cathedral, the Alcazar de Colon, the ruins of the
Franciscan Monastery, and other highlights of the
historic city.

Day 2 - 8 Las Galeras
You will transfer to Las Galeras and spend a week
working with the Reef Check Foundation in helping
to save the Dominican Republics coral reefs and
ocean ecosystems. After 3 days of Healthy Reef
Protocol Coursework that involves both classroom
study and field work accomplished through
snorkeling, you will be ready to serve. During
the next 3 days, youll collect data from the
reefs that will be studied to ensure the reefs
continued health.

Day 9 Santo Domingo
After breakfast, return to Santo Domingo with
free time to further explore the Colonial Zone.

Day 10 Depart for the USA
Return home with incredible memories, experiences
and stories and almost certainly a desire to
travel again!
