  • In Springfield, MA Seuss was no longer
    permitted
  • In the year 1904 To be part of the team
  • Dr. Seuss was born And so his work was signed
    as Seuss
  • His real name, Theodor A pseudonym was his
    scheme
  • Seuss love and niche for rhymes He then went on
    to Oxford
  • Was not an accident A professor he hoped to
    be
  • His mother often spoke them But instead he met
    his wife
  • As fast asleep he went A childrens author,
    just like he
  • At his alma mater, Dartmouth He made cartoons
    for all occasions
  • He was magazine editor Campaigns and politics
  • Until his drinking party And then WWII began
  • Created quite a stir And Seuss was in a fix

  • Too old to be a soldier His books sold millions
    of copies
  • Training movies were his thing An achievement of
    great size
  • His love for animation fostered And won two
    Academy Awards
  • Was much more than a fling And the Pulitzer
    Prize
  • Success he was not granted Seuss also claimed

  • Although his talent sure was great And the
    Peabody Award
