lived with his parents

• On 1923, They moved to Missouri They moved from
  one small town to another for several years.
  Sam-youngest Eagle Scout (8th grade) In adult
  life, Sam-recipient of the Distinguished Eagle
  Scout Award from boy scouts of America.

  won the state title. He also served as vice
  president of student body his junior year as
  president his senior year. He performed well
  academically-owner student.

• Sam had numerous chores to help make financial
  ends meet for his family.
• He milked the family cow. Bottled the surplus
  drove it to customer. Afterward, he deliver
  newspapers on a paper route. Upon graduating, he
  was voted Most Versatile Boy

• He attended the university of Missouri-Columbia
  majored in economics. He hope better way to
  support his family. He worked various odd jobs,
  including waiting tables in exchange for meals.
  He was the top senior men in school year. Upon
  graduating, He was voted permanent president

  world war II. Worked at DuPont munitions plant
  Ok. He met his future wife-Helen Robson in
  4/1942 They married 2/1943 He join the military
  in the us army intelligence corp. Supervising
  security at aircraft plants prisoner of war
  camps. Eventually reached the rank of Captain.

In 1945, after leaving the military, He owned
the 1st store. The store was a franchise of the
Butler Brothers chain. It was here that Sam
pioneered many concepts-crucial to his success
Stock with wide rang of goods, low prices, stayed
open later than most other stores in central
location.

  wal-mart visitors center in Arkansas.
• In 1952 He opened other chain store that is Ben
  Franlin Stores.

  Wal-mart eventually became the worlds largest
  reatiler. In 2004, more than 1.5 million people
  were employed. He open the store from small town
