32001-2002 Banjo Minnow
4The Most life like Artificial fishing lure ever!
- Looks exactly like a real fish
- Mimics spastic action of a wounded dying minnow
- Triggers a genetic response and compels fish to
bite.
5The development of the Banjo Minnow
- 1. Fish would fallow unnatural looking baits but
not bite - 2. They needed a lure that that looked and swam
like a real minnow - 3. Over many years and many failures, efforts
resulted in a lure that looked and swam like a
real minnow
6...Continued
- 4. Something other than realistic look was
provoking fish to bite - 5. By accident this lure made fish bite when they
weren't even hungry - 6. The concept of genetic response was born
7Techniques
- Some techniques for using to Banjo Minnow are...
- Cast the lure, let it bounce off the bottom, on a
slow retrieve stopping every three to four turns - Cast the minnow and let it die, and after four
seconds then jig it - simply jerk, sink, and wind
8Color Techniques
- Try matching your minnow color with what is
preyed upon by the fish your catching- - On bright days, use dark colors minnows
- On cloudy days use brighter color minnows
- Use the golden minnow around sunset with calm
but turbid water
9Color techniques continued...
- Use the Chartreuse minnow when fishing in
dirty, mucky waters, on a bright, sunny day - Use the natural minnow on clear lakes, when
its a bright, sunny days. Usually in submerged
waters
10Other Tips
- Use a light weight jig (enough to sink but not
too fast) and then slowly retrieving it works on
rocky bottoms - When using Banjo Frogs, let the frog sit for two
to three seconds on a lily pad, twitch to move
the frog. This movement makes it look like the
frog is jumping.
