points to effectively carry out their mandates
for supporting GEF programs in their countries
and constituencies, including the improvement of
overall national and constituency coordination of
GEF issues.

- Financial support to carry out activities as
indicated in Revised Guidelines for FP Support - Up to 8,000/year for 4 years
- Can provide funding mechanism for Dialogue
follow-up activities - 2 constituency meetings/year/constituency
- Council policy
- Participation in GEF familiarization seminars for
new FPs
11Component 1Direct financial support
- MoA signed by countries to facilitate transfer of
funds over 4 years - up to 8,000 instalments annually
- Funds transferred to bank account of appropriate
agency - Annual work plan outlining activities submitted
by Focal Points and approved by GEF Secretariat - requirement for disbursement of first instalment
- Funds disbursed by UNEP within 14 days upon
receipt of GEF Secretariat approved reporting - Annual expenditure report
- Annual progress report
12Component 1Attendance at Constituency Meetings
- Funding for participation of GEF political and
operational focal points or their designates - up to 2 constituency meetings per year
- Upon receipt of invitation to Constituency
Meeting Focal Points will request travel
assistance from UNEP - UNEP will provide airline tickets and daily
subsistence allowance (DSA) - All transactions and requests for payment and
