    for supporting GEF programs in their countries
    and constituencies, including the improvement of
    overall national and constituency coordination of
    GEF issues.

  • Up to 8,000/year for 4 years
  • Can provide funding mechanism for Dialogue
    follow-up activities
  • 2 constituency meetings/year/constituency

  • Participation in GEF familiarization seminars for
    new FPs

Component 1Direct financial support
  • MoA signed by countries to facilitate transfer of
    funds over 4 years
  • up to 8,000 instalments annually
  • Funds transferred to bank account of appropriate
    agency
  • Annual work plan outlining activities submitted
    by Focal Points and approved by GEF Secretariat
  • requirement for disbursement of first instalment
  • Funds disbursed by UNEP within 14 days upon
    receipt of GEF Secretariat approved reporting

Component 1Attendance at Constituency Meetings
  • Funding for participation of GEF political and
    operational focal points or their designates
  • up to 2 constituency meetings per year
  • Upon receipt of invitation to Constituency
    Meeting Focal Points will request travel
    assistance from UNEP
  • UNEP will provide airline tickets and daily
    subsistence allowance (DSA)
  • All transactions and requests for payment and
    travel assistance will be made electronically
    through special database developed specifically
    for the CSP
