The grasslands are located all over the world.
Some of those continents are North America, South
America, Asia, and Africa.

The climate in the Grasslands is mostly dry. It
only gets about 15-36 inches of rain each year.

Plants are very important to the grasslands.They
are key to animals survival. Here are some
examples
Queen Anns Laceis a relative of the carrot.It
is found in north American grasslands
Fringed Sagebrush is a woody shrub with silvery
leaves and little yellow flowers.

Turkey Foot Grass usually grows to about 3-6
feet. It grows in moist or dry grasslands.
Sweet coneflower can grow to height of 6 feet if
planted in moist soil.

The Black Tail Prairie Dog has a diet of mostly
grass and grows to about a foot long.
The Ostrich has a diet of plants and grows 6-9
ft. tall.

The Pronghorn eats mostly grass and grows to be
about 3-5 ft.tall.
The Warthog is part of the pig family and also
eats plants. It grows to be about 3-4 feet tall.
