2006 Spring NC State Cheerleading and Mascot
Tryouts

• Dates April 29th April 30th
• Time 10am 6pm (with a short lunch break
  between 100 and 300pm)
• Place Carmichael Gym in the gymnastics area
• A Pre-Tryout Clinic will be held on April 28th
  from 6-9pm, the cost is 25.00. Come get a jump
  on the competition. Stunt, tumbling, jumps and
  motion technique workshops will be offered. You
  must be in or beyond 11th grade to attend.
• IMPORTANTA Current physical (less than one
  year old) and liability waiver is required.

• Attire Girls gym shorts, t-shirt, cheer shoes
  Guys gym shorts, t-shirt, cheer or
  athletic shoes
• Tryout Requirements
• -Standing back tuck, toe touch back tuck
• -A band cheer (taught at tryouts)
• -Stunting Position The above standing tumbling
  and two optional stunts. One stunt must include
  a 720 dismount. Stunts will be performed with
  current NC State Cheerleaders.
• -Tumbling Positions The above standing
  tumbling, a toss shoulder stand, a standing pass
  through to a full and 2 running passes including
  a variety of elite elements (example punch
  front, front handspring, arabian, 1 ½ or multiple
  spinning elements in series). These spaces are
  limited.

Mascot Tryouts will be held the same time as
cheer tryouts. Tryouts consist of a skit and
prop work.
