Frischs cafe was founded in 1905 by Samuel
Frisch.
The first drive in restaurant was opened in 1939,
it was called the Mainliner.

• It was the first drive in restaurant in
  Cincinnati .
• It has been passed down by family.
• It was also the first restaurant in Cincinnati to
  have a soup and salad bar.

Other Interesting details

• 1946-Big Boy is created!
• 1948-Frischs Big Boy restaurant is opened
• 1960-Frischs sells tarter sauce by the pint.

• 1982-Soup and salad bar is introduced, so is hot
  fudge cake!
• In 1998 Frischs spread to Cincinnati, Dayton,
  and Louisville.
• The Mainliner got its name because of a plane
  that flew over from Lunken Airport.
