Intro

• This story took place in the Cherokee Nation of
  Oklahoma in about the 1800s. Jay Berry Lee and
  Daisy Lee are 14 year old twin brother and
  sister. Daisy was born with a twisted leg and
  uses a crutch when she walks all she wants is to
  be able to run like any other kid. Jay Berry has
  always wanted a pony and a .22 gun all the other
  boys have them and he wants to be like them.
• This is my favorite book because it has so much
  adventure.

Summary

• This book is about an ordinary family, back in
  the 1800s. Jay Berry has a dog named Rowdy, who
  trees a monkey down in the Cherokee bottoms! He
  finds out, from his wonderful Grandpa, that the
  monkeys are worth some money. There is a leader
  of the pack he is a chimp and his name is Jimbo.
  Jimbo is worth 100. All the other smaller
  monkeys are worth 2.00. Jay Berry goes on some
  wild adventures and finds out that Jimbo is a
  very smart monkey, a lot smarter that he thought
  he would be. I hope you read the book and find
  out all the other crazy adventures this family
  goes through!
