• Data Capture

• Data Factory
• A system to store and process data for a
  particular business area
• Data Warehouse
• A generic term for a system for storing,
  retrieving and managing large amounts of any type
  of data
• Data Mart
• Database and/or systems designed primarily to
  address a specific function or department's
  needs. A subset of the data warehouse sometimes
  called a departmental data warehouse
• Applications
• Applications (programs) that provide users data
  and information
