Introduction

• Blueberry illustrations or BBI was formed in 2007
  by its founder and member, BBI has a passion to
  help authors who write for childrens.
• BBI has a team of illustrators who are extremely
  talented and are the children book specialists.
  Books illustrated by BBI has been published in
  all continents of the world.
• The purpose of BBI is to give the authors an
  opportunity to realize their dreams because the
  illustrations are most important part of any
  children book and BBI(blue berry illustrations)
  is an expert in that field.
• More than 200 books have been illustrated by Blue
  berry illustrations and the buyers list /authors
  list includes authors from USA, Canada, Germany,
  Middle east, United Kingdom, Australia, Spain,
  China and other Asian and African countries.

Illustration procedure

• Every project starts with a contract, which gives
  the association of an illustrator and the author
  a legal validity. Points like ownership of
  copyright(I usually give it to the author, free
  of cost), deadlines, rates etc can be mentioned
  in the contract.
• After the contract is signed, author is required
  to send the story and his expectations from every
  illustration, this helps the illustrator to read
  the mind of the author. This helps in making
  great illustrations as desired by the author.
• After receiving the story, central character or
  the main character of story is designed and a lot
  of detailing and hard work is done at this stage.
  This main character and other important
  characters will be remembered by the kids in
  future.
• After main character is final, the set of
  sketches(all the sketches) is sent to the author
  for approval and modifications as per the authors
  desire are carried out.
• After the sketches are approved, full colored
  illustrations are sent to the author. All these
  colors are fully print ready and can be directly
  taken to the Printer/ Publisher.
• Services are provided till the very end, in case
  of some change in format or other requirements
  which the printer puts across, in terms of the
  size or format of the illustrations.

Payment Procedure

• The payment is accepted only Via Pay pal as it is
  the most trusted medium of money transfer.
• The author has two options while making payment,
  either make a 50 advance payment(it can be
  mentioned in the contract for security purpose)
  or make a payment after every illustration. The
  later option is called pay per illustration.
• For shorter deadlines and quick delivery of
  illustrations, it is recommended to make advance
  payment
• and the rest of payment is made after
  some work has been done.
• The charge for every illustration is fixed at
  70 per illustration. Although, the price may vary
  if the requirements are of a double spread
  illustration.
• Children book series are given an additional 5-10
  discount, given that there are at least 8
  Books with minimum of 12 illustrations per book.
• These are the most reasonable prices that an
  author can get , given such high standards of
  illustrations and a commitment of quality and
  quick delivery.

• When it was time to find an
  illustrator for Rosmarie Pfisters series of
  childrens books titled RICKY, MEIN
  ACTION-ENGEL, it was tough to make a decision who
  should illustrate the books. While there are a
  lot of talented illustrators out there, every
  illustrator is different in style, medium and
  perfection. Nowadays, you have a lot of
  illustrators out there using computer software
  for their illustrations. And we had some great
  work submitted to us. However, they all lacked
  personality. Blueberrys illustrations stood out
  of the crowd of submissions. The handdrawn
  illustrations superseded the competition thru
  Blueberrys talented, colorful drawings, that
  make these illustrations perfect for the age
  range of Rosmaries books. BBI was also able to
  convert the character guidelines as desired, and
  adapt to the storybook of Ricky quickly. In the
  end, all of Blueberrys illustrations turned out
  exactly like the writer had envisioned the
  characters and scenes. I want to applaud
  Blueberry for being able to be open minded, a
  free spirit, and a pleasure to work with. So, it
  was easy to commission Blueberry for the next
  Ricky books as well. The artwork was on time,
  refreshingly exciting, and payments were handled
  quick and professionally. For a writer or

Current Engagements

• Working on three children book series which are
  going to be published in USA , Germany and China.
• Sixteen other children books are also getting
  illustrated and will be published later this
  year.
• Blueberry Illustrations is also working for many
  prominent self publishers from USA and other
  countries, thus providing illustrations services
  indirectly also. Almost 12 books are being
  illustrated for various self publishers.
• As a part of charity, BBI is also doing some
  books for clients such as Make a wish
  Foundation at very concessional rates.
• Various educational projects are under making at
  concessional rates, the concession is given so
  that BBI may contribute for a good cause which
  will be imparted to various children through
  these educational books.
• BBI also gives discount to senior
  citizens(authors) who write children book for
  their financial needs, we also encourage such
