  refugee camps or the lower middle class.
  
• The majority have a university level education.
• Many of them have spent a number of years in
  Israeli prisons.
  
• They are considered to be deeply religious.

• Sheikh Ahmad Yassin is considered to be the
  founder and spiritual figurehead.
  
• Mahmoud al Zahhar is the current foreign PM in
  the Hamas Government.
  
• Ismail Haniya is the Gaza Branch Prime Minister.
• Ismail Haniyeh is the Palestinian PM.
• Saeed Syam is the Interior Minister.
• Khaled Meshaal is the groups supreme political
  leader

Structure

• Social, Political, and Religious facets.
• Internal Leadership- Control the muscles of the
  movement
  
• External Leadership- controls the financial
  resources and external contract.

• Shura Council- Fifty members, makes the final
  call on the major policy decisions.
  
• Political Bureau- eight to ten members, makes
  final decisions.
  
• Consultative Council- establishes specialized
  committees to oversee various aspects of Hamass
  activities.
