2What is Aadhar Based Paperless Digital Signature
Certificate?
- The Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA)
has recently introduced this new form of digital
signature certificate with its new guidelines. - It will be issued to an applicant on the basis of
his/her Aadhar Number. - No paper based document verification is required
for Aadhar based paperless DSC. - A Registering Authority (RA) can verify the
identity of an applicant by entering his/her
Aadhar Number and taking finger print on the
biometric device. - The entire digital signature application process
is made digitally. - There is no need to fill and submit paper based
Digital Signature Application Form for this newly
introduced digital signature certificate.
3How it is issued?
- It is issued to an applicant just like the paper
based Digital Signature Certificate. - The only difference is the verification process
which is done through the applicants Aadhar
Number. - Unlike the paper based digital signature
application, there is no need to download the
digital signature application form. - Applicant can fill it online and then verify
his/her identity by entering the Aadhar Number in
the application form. - The Registering Authority (RA) should take the
finger print of the applicant on the biometric
device to ensure his/her identity. - The biometric device fetches the complete
information of the application from the UIDAI
database and sends it to the Certifying
Authorities. After that, digital signature is
issued in the name of the applicant.

accuracy of the application.
