- Four 90 minute blocks each day
- Students will have a 90 minute language arts and
a 90 minute math block each day - Students will have either a 90 minute science or
social studies each day - Students will have two 45 minute connection
classes each day

as fighting, weapons, repeated disrespect,
continued disruption of the learning environment,
drugs - Lunch and learn, morning detention and intensive
supervision for minor infractions

- Juvenile complaint filed with the sheriffs
department - If a student discovers they have brought a knife
to school by accident and they turn it in before
showing it to friends, there are NO consequences
for the student.
8Cell Phones
- Policy Regarding Cell Phones Other Devices Used
for Communications - While on school property, including buses,
students are permitted to have cell phones
other similar communication devices HOWEVER these
items must be turned off and secured out of
sight. Use of these devices is permitted once
students leave campus or exit the school bus
following the ride home. At the end of the
school day, students remaining on campus for
school-sponsored activities may use their devices
after 330PM. Violation of this policy (i.e.,
the use or sight of these devices) will result in
the following consequences - 1st offense Device confiscated parent may pick
it up at OCMS during normal school hours. - 2nd offense Device confiscated parent may pick
it up at OCMS during normal school hours 7 days
after confiscation. Lunch/learn detention
assigned. - 3rd offense Device confiscated parent may pick
it up at OCMS during normal school hours 14
days after confiscation. Lunch/learn detention
assigned. - 4th offense Device confiscated parent may pick
it up at OCMS during normal school hours at end
of the semester. Lunch/learn detention
assigned.

- If all the work, homework and assignments have
been turned in students earn STAR time - Those who need extra help, reteaching, are
missing assignments or need to improve their
grade are assigned to Rising Star time

- Parents can sign up to view grades online
- Grades are updated at least weekly
- Parents can check if assignments are late or
missing - Never have to wait on a grade sheet again
- Students can have their own log-in and check

- Not a final grade
- Intended to alert parents and students to
problems while there is still time to remedy them - Are issued at the half-way point of the nine
weeks - Low grades and zeros can be brought up
- Also includes comments to explain grade and
report behavior problems or commendations - Please sign and return to school

- Issued at the end of nine weeks
- Student receives a number grade (average) in each
class - Attendance shown
- Schedule a conference at any time. Dont wait
until its too late
