• They eat latkes which are fried potato pancakes.
• Children open a present every night for 8 nights.
• They play a game called dreidel with chocolate
  coins.

• La Befana delivers presents on January 6th.
• The traditional music in Italy is bagpipes.
• When Christmas tapers which are candles are lit
  the Christmas banquet has begun.

• December is summertime.
• People celebrate Christmas with beach picnics and
  backyard barbeques.

Greece

• They sing kalandas they are Greek Christmas
  carols.
• They get presents on January 1st.

Kwanzaa

• They light the kinara which has seven candles.
• They start lighting the candles the day after
  Christmas.
• It is a holiday that is based on celebrations
  they have in Africa.
• The name Kwanzaa comes from a Swahili word that
  means first fruits of the harvest.
• They open a present for seven nights. The
  presents are usually handmade and educational.

• His mothers name was Mary and his fathers name
  was Joseph.
• The three kings visited the newborn Jesus.
• Jesus was born in Bethlehem

• People put up Christmas lights on their houses.
• They put Christmas trees up in their houses
  decorated with ornaments and lights.
• People wrap and give presents to the people they
  love and care about.
• We sing Christmas carols.
• The reindeer pull Santa Claus in a sleigh and
  deliver the presents to good boys and girls on
  Christmas eve.
