2Hello, Im Flat Boudreaux I am use to
traveling all over the world, but I am very
excited to visit your parish, West Baton Rouge,
today. Take a little time to see where I have
been and plot my journey on your parish map.
3Buckle Up...
Our Journey Begins...
4My journey through your parish began at the
Central Office where I met with Superintendent
David Corona. He invited me to visit the 10
schools in the parish during my journey.
5My first stop was to Port Allen High School where
I met with Principal Lejeune who told me all
about the mighty Pelicans
6After I left Port Allen High School, I passed by
the new Soccer Complex and thought I would stop
and kick around a few balls.
7I headed towards Erwinville, and stopped at the
famous Camilles for some lunch before continuing
along on my journey.
8I needed to mail a letter, so I stopped by the
United States Postal Service Office in Erwinville!
9My next stop was to Chamberlin where I hear my
cousin, Flat Stanley has been spotted.
10After leaving Chamberlin, I headed to the River
Road to visit the Vikings at Devall.
11After leaving Devall, I continued down the River
Road until reaching the Old Bridge and I-10
where I headed into Port Allen again!
12We started ourjourney in Port Allen!
We went to Erwinville,DMS, and CESNow we are
headingback to PortAllen!
13Back in Port Allen, I made my first stop at Cohn
Elementary School!
14I stopped by the bank in Port Allen in order to
get a little cash to finish my trip!
15I stopped by the Parish Council building to visit
with President PeeWee Berthelot to tell him about
my great journey so far Then I was off again!
16When I left the Parish Council Building I saw
this beautiful courtyard with a statue honoring
Henry Watkins Allen.
17I walked across the street to visit the parish
Court House.
18I stopped by to visit the WBR War Memorial to pay
my respects to the parishs fallen heroes before
continuing on my journey.
19My next stop was at Port Allen Middle School to
see visit this historic school.
20I bounced across the street to visit the Pandas
at Port Allen Middle School.
21West Baton Rouge has so much to offer and I was
interested in finding out a little about the
history so my next stop was the Museum.
22I wanted to check out the new Town Hall under
construction Looks like a beautiful new
building!
23The Midstream was a great surprise that I visited
on my way out of town
24The smell of roasting coffee was wonderful
surprise as I headed to the Intercoastal Canal
Bridge and the Brusly/Addis area
25This part of our journey has beenin Port Allen!
26I headed over the Intercoastal Canal to visit the
Brusly/Addis area
27I decided to visit Brusly Middle School, located
on the River Road first.
28I stopped by Brusly High School to visit the
Mighty Panthers.
29I stopped by the Town Hall to visit with Mayor
Joey Normand who told me not to miss the Brusly
Oak Tree.
30The Back Brusly Oak is spectacular and a
wonderful place to visit.
31Right down the street from the Back Brusly Oak
Tree was Brusly Elementary, the Home of the
Kittens!
32My last school visit was to Lukeville Upper
Elementary School!
33This part of our journey has been concentrated in
Brusly. I am now heading towards Addis to
complete my tour of WBR!
34I stopped to visit at the Fire Department on my
way into Addis!
35Mayor Carroll Bourgeois welcomed us to the Addis
Town Hall and made sure to tell us about their
Museum.
36The Bank of Addis Building houses the Addis
Museum this is a wonderful place to visit.
37I stopped by the Addis train field on my way to
my final destination.
38After a wonderful day in WBR, I ended my journey
at Myhand Park.
39The final leg of my journey was in Addis! I had
a great day in WBR and look forward to another
journey real soon.
