The Call to Worship of Gods People

• In six different ways the Psalm calls us to
  praise the Lord
• We sing a new song because we regularly see new
  signs of Gods greatness and His goodness
• Only those who see the world from that
  perspective will notice the many great deeds and
  many acts of goodness of God

Praise God for Who He Is

• He is faithful
• There is no power in the universe, no unforeseen
  circumstance, no flaw in His character that
  would prevent Him from keeping His promises
• He is righteous
• Even when we dont understand how it all fits
  together, God is never evil

Praise God for Who He Is

• He is the Creator
• This is revelation available to all people, at
  all times, in all places
• Romans 120 For since the creation of the world
  His invisible attributes, His eternal power and
  divine nature, have been clearly seen, being
  understood through what has been made, so that
  they are without excuse
• He rules over history and nations
• His plan is what will be carried out the plans
  of nations and leaders are not what counts

Praise God for His Power

• No amount of military power can ultimately
  deliver a nation from Gods judgment no nation
  protected by God can be overcome by any amount of
  military power
• That is why we are commanded to pray for our
  nation and our leaders

Praise God for His Care in Our Individual Lives

• He is not just the God of the nations He is the
  God and Father of individual people
• Luke 127 Indeed, the very hairs of your head
  are all numbered. Do not fear you are more
  valuable than many sparrows.
