The History of CIHI Portal
  • 2000 Internal warehouse? CIHI completed
    development of its internal data warehousing
    model and querying application
  • 2002 Pre-pilot? CIHI began developing a
    mirroring application for external use
  • 2003 External pilot? Early version of CIHI
    Portal piloted with three sites and 35 users
  • 2005 Beta release? Six-month evaluation of
    current CIHI Portal offering with 21 sites and
    100 users
  • 2006 Cost recovery
  • 2007 National launch

  • A key way in which CIHI makes data more
    accessible is through electronic reporting
  • The rollout of CIHIs e-reporting products has
    been an ongoing, evolutionary process

    comparative data
