Program Structure
  • If accepted into DMS program
  • Classes start during the Summer Semester
  • (10 weeks)
  • Intro classes and learn basic scanning skills in
    scan-lab on campus
  • Fall and Spring Semester
  • 2 days on campus for classes
  • 3 days at clinical sites
  • Summer Semester (10 weeks)
  • 1 day on campus for classes
  • 4 days at clinical sites

Credentials Laura R. Lee, B.S., RDMS, RDCS, RVT,

  • DMS is different than Nursing, Rad Tech, and
    Respiratory Therapy (1 exam)
  • Several specialty areas in sonography and there
    is a separate board exam for each specialty
  • Also have to pass a separate physics board before
    you earn your credential
