8Program Structure
- If accepted into DMS program
- Classes start during the Summer Semester
- (10 weeks)
- Intro classes and learn basic scanning skills in
scan-lab on campus - Fall and Spring Semester
- 2 days on campus for classes
- 3 days at clinical sites
- Summer Semester (10 weeks)
- 1 day on campus for classes
- 4 days at clinical sites

- DMS is different than Nursing, Rad Tech, and
Respiratory Therapy (1 exam) - Several specialty areas in sonography and there
is a separate board exam for each specialty - Also have to pass a separate physics board before
you earn your credential
