  • Informal Pilot project started in 2004 in
    collaboration with Success By 6.
  • Now all PeaceHealth Pediatricians use the Ages
    and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ).
  • Screens done at 12 24 months.

  • Simple and inexpensive way to screen children
    birth 5 years.
  • Used internationally by Pediatricians, teachers,
    parents and care givers.
  • Opens dialogue between Pediatricians and parent.

  • April 2005 - March 2006 Eighty-seven (13) of
    649 developmental screening questionnaires (ASQ)
    were referred to the early intervention program
    and had the following outcomes
  • 25 receiving services
  • 21 are being screened regularly
  • 27 had no problems when checked again
  • 14 moved or refused services

    Ypsilanti, Mich.
  • Children randomly selected to attend Perry or
    control group.
  • Daily classroom session and weekly home visit.
  • Tracked participants and control group through
    age 40. Started in 1962.

and abilities of parents, promoting the health
and development of children, using evidence base
practices and incentives for services in rural
areas.
