• Divide the neck into spaces
• Use parapharyngeal space to locate all other
  spaces
• Differential then limited
• Use imaging signs to further reduce the
  diagnostic possibilities

Evaluation

• Establish the space where the epicenter of the
  lesion lies
• Consider that space the space of origin
• Enumerate the contents of the space for an
  initial differential diagnosis
• Define the imaging findings to narrow the
  differential diagnosis
• Know the common diseases that affect that space
