Program Overview
  • Component of the States ABC initiative
  • 2 million awarded FY 06-07
  • Funds six community-based programs in Cuyahoga,
    Fairfield, Franklin, Logan/Champaign,
    Montgomery and Union counties.
  • Females Offenders Only

  • DSM IV diagnosis
  • Ages 10-18
  • Substantial mental status impairment
  • Co-occurring substance abuse
  • Charged and/or adjudicated delinquent

  • Program sites must use an evidence-based best
    practice model
  • Gateway into the program is through Juvenile Court

  • 17 Client withdrew/rejected services
  • 15 moved
  • Out of 429 youth, only 2 (.004) have been
    referred to DYS.
  • These two females were taken out of DYS and
    placed in BHJJ as a step-down.
