It doesn’t matter if you replace your system with cheap radiators, as long as they have the Kite mark stated on the box they are delivered in. – PowerPoint PPT presentation
All radiators with a British Kite mark are efficient to run whether they are cheap or not. What efficient means is that they heat quickly with a minimum of environmental waste.
Of course, modern boilers have much to do with this too. The Combi boiler uses hot air that is created to generate more heat.
It doesnt matter if you replace your system with cheap radiators, as long as they have the Kite mark stated on the box they are delivered in.
These radiators are mass produced and they are of basic design. If you want more stylish heaters, you will have to pay that little extra on top.

Cheap Radiators

Let us take a look at flat panel radiators. These are mass produced and have a simple inoffensive design. They are slim-line and discreet and sit close to the wall. This makes them ideal companions for rooms that are on the small side. These radiators are a good alternative to buying sturdy and in-your-face column ones.
Not everyone has a budget to buy designer styles and it does not matter what shape your heater is the most important feature has to be heat output. Design comes second.
These radiators are very popular with architects as with smaller room design they optimise walking space.

Of course, there are differences in price when researching these radiators. As a rule of thumb, the longer the guarantee the better they have been put together. Short guarantees mean that the welding is inferior to the one with longer warranties.
Then there are testing marks and heat output confirmations. The first one is done to EN442 standard and is the European standard. A BSRIA certificate means that the heat output stated on the packaging is confirmed by an independent body.
Most of the above styles are made in Europe in countries such as Germany and Denmark. The higher quality ones are made in the United Kingdom. When researching the quality of what you are going to buy, you should be wary of the ones that are produced in Asia. Quality control is not of such high standard in some countries.

If you are going to go for the latter, it is common sense to read reports on other peoples experiences of these. You will find these on Twitter or Facebook.
The most reasonably priced cheap radiators in this style have a corrugated body with smooth panels fitted to the front. The corrugated innards are mass produced hence the cheaper price. You need to know that these are less slim-line than their more expensive counterparts.
Whichever model you should choose, the difference in heat output is negligible. The grilles on top have been added on the cheaper models to stop little fingers and toys disappearing between the corrugated parts.
