What is Careprost?

• Careprost is to be instilled in eyes for treating
  lower intraocular pressure in glaucoma.
• Glaucoma is the condition when the fluid amount
  is increased in the eye that results in abnormal
  growth of eyelashes.
• This situation may lead to loss of vision or
  total blindness in the eye. Careprost helps to
  enhance fullness and length of eyelashes.

Mechanism of Action of Careprost

• Bimatoprost acts as prostaglandin that functions
  by decreasing the   intraocular pressure (IOP) in
  eyes by enhancing the discharge of aqueous humor
  (fluid in the eyes) through eyes.  
• This results in lower the pressure in the eye.
  And thereby helps in getting longer, thicker and
  darker eyelashes.

Adverse Effects of Careprost

• Careprost may show some Adverse effects after
  application such as Darkening of eyelashes and
  iris, Headache, Red eyes, Itching, irritation and
  burning of the eye, enhanced sensitivity to

Contraindication of Careprost

• Careprost is contraindicated under certain
  medical conditions
• If you are hypersensitive to Bimatoprost then

• Pregnant women should not use this medication.
• Avoid taking this medication if you are suffering
  from liver, kidney and respiratory disorders.
• Do not use this medication if already using

• Careprost shows some drug interaction when used
  along with following medicines
• Latanoprost ophthalmic, Latisse (topical
  Bimatoprost) and Xalatan (Latanoprost ophthalmic)

Precautions to be taken while using Careprost eye
drop

• Always check the seal and the expiry date of the
  bottle prior to use.
• Do not touch the tip of the bottle and the cap
  and should be replaced after use to prevent
  contamination.
• Before using Careprost eye drops remove eye
  lenses.
• If you are using Careprost for glaucoma then do
  not use this medication for eyelash growth.
• Do not use this medication in case if you are
  having any eye infection.
