• An ergonomic chair has back and body support
  built into its frame and seat back. Look for
  lumbar support adjustment levers or other ways to
  adjust the back or seat angle, and to change the
  tension of the back lumbar support.

  that is armless? If you are going to be resting
  your arms on a desk top while you work and type,
  you may not need to extra bulk of chair arms.
• Back or backless? Chairs without a back look
  sleek and cool, allow for easy access, and are
  preferred by some artists. For maximum support
  and comfort, however, a chair with a back and
  ergonomic features is best.
• Finally, a chair design with a footrest gives you
  the flexibility to elevate your legs while you
  are working. Also, depending on the type of work
  you do, a footrest allows you to take the
  pressure of your feet and lower leg joints.
