  • It is very difficult to understand how those who
worship a man on a cross could help to drive the
bloody nails themselves. But the record is clear
When religion is infected by racism, ideology or
extreme nationalism, it can become a carrier of
    hatred instead of conscience.

4
  • And when churches are concerned mainly for their
    institutional self-preservation, they often end
up neck-deep in compromise or paralyzed by
    cowardice.
  • Michael Gerson

5
  • When exactly is it time to stand up?

6
  • You have been crucified with Christ, and you no
longer live, but Christ lives in you.

7
  • When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his
face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before
certain men came from James, he used to eat with
the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to
draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles
because he was afraid of those who belonged to
    the circumcision group.

8
  • The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so
that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led
astray. When I saw that they were not acting in
line with the truth of the gospel, I said to
Peter in front of them all, You are a Jew, yet
you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How
is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow
    Jewish customs?

9
  • We who are Jews by birth and not Gentile
sinners know that a man is not justified by
observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.
So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus
that we may be justified by faith in Christ and
not by observing the law, because by observing
the law no one will be justified.

10
  • If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it
becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners,
does that mean that Christ promotes sin?
Absolutely not! If I rebuild what I destroyed, I
prove that I am a lawbreaker. For through the law
I died to the law so that I might live for God. I
have been crucified with Christ and I no longer
live, but Christ lives in me.

11
  • The life I live in the body, I live by faith in
the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for
me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if
righteousness could be gained through the law,
    Christ died for nothing!
  • Galatians 211-21

12
  • I now realize how true it is that God does not
show favoritism but accepts men from every
    nation
  • Acts 1034-35

13
  • How is a person made right with God?

14
  • How is a person made right with God?
  • Once your relationship is made right with God,
    how are you to live?

15
  • You have been crucified with Christ, and you no
longer live, but Christ lives in you.

16
  • Faith in Jesus Christ alone justifies a person.

17
  • What was the role of worksand specifically the
    Law of Moses?

18
  • You have been crucified with Christ, and you no
longer live, but Christ lives in you.

19
  • He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree,
so that we might die to sins and live for
righteousness by His wounds you have been
    healed.
  • 1 Peter 224

20
  • I now live each moment by faith in Jesus.

21
  • I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer
live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in
the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who
loved me and gave Himself for me.
  • Galatians 220

22
  • Faith is not simply required for my
justification with God, its required for the
life I now live in Him.

23
  • Faith encompasses all your life.

24
  • You have been crucified with Christ, and you no
longer live, but Christ lives in you.

25
  • I have been crucified with Christ, and I no
longer live, but Christ lives in me.
