2HOW TO MAKE COCONUT MILK
- You can make fresh coconut milk instantly. Simply
warm a jar of TIANA Fair Trade Raw Organic
Coconut Goodness by standing it in hot water for
up to 10 minutes. Once the content becomes a
thick semi liquid then stir thoroughly and dilute
it with water using 1 part of Coconut Goodness
with 3 parts of water. These ratios are provided
as a guideline and can be varied to suit your
individual requirements and taste.
3HOW TO USE COCONUT MILK
- Coconut milk is great on its own. It has
delicious taste of fresh coconuts. It can also be
used in various cooking and baking recipes. It is
excellent poured over berries, fruits and
desserts as well as for making delicious
smoothies, milk shakes and exotic cocktails. It
is an integral component ingredient used in
Indian, Thai, Malaysian, Hawaiian and Caribbean
dishes, particularly curries. It can be used
instead of dairy milk in tea, coffee and other
beverages. You can enjoy making delicious coconut
ice-cream, or prawns, salmon, chicken or
vegetable curry dishes and various coconut milk
based cakes and desserts.
4RICH CHOCOLATE SHAKE
- Ingredients
- 150 ml coconut milk (dilute 1 part TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness with 3 parts
of water to make coconut milk) - 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 400 g chocolate ice cream
- Grated white chocolate to decorate
- Method
- 1. Pour the coconut milk and chocolate syrup into
a food processor and process until combined. - 2. Add the chocolate ice cream, process until
smooth and serve immediately.
5PINEAPPLE AND COCONUT SHAKE
- Ingredients
- 100 ml coconut milk (dilute 1 part TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness with 3 parts
of water to make coconut milk) - 350 ml pineapple juice
- 150 ml vanilla ice-cream
- 140 g frozen pineapple chunks
- 2 scooped-out coconut shells (optional)
- Method
- 1. Pour the pineapple juice and coconut milk into
a food processor. Add the ice cream and process
until smooth. - 2. Add frozen pineapple chunks and process well.
Pour the mixture into 2 scooped-out coconut
shells or tall glasses and decorate with grated
coconut.
6CARIBBEAN SMOOTHIE
- Ingredients
- 300 ml coconut milk (dilute 1 part TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness with 3 parts
of water to make coconut milk) - 100 ml pineapple juice
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 2 tbsp grated fresh coconut to decorate
- 140 g frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 banana, sliced and frozen
- Method
- 1. Put coconut milk, pineapple juice and sugar in
a food processor and process gently. Add mango
and process well. - 2. Add the frozen pineapple chunks and banana
slices and process until smooth. Sprinkle over
some grated coconut and decorate the rims with
fresh pineapple wedges.
7COCONUT AND ORANGE SMOOTHIE
- Ingredients
- 150 ml coconut milk (dilute 1 part TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness with 3 parts
of water to make coconut milk) - 1 juice of one organic orange
- 1 tbsp TIANA Fair Trade Organic Pure Active Honey
- 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
- Method
- 1. Place the coconut milk (made with TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness), orange
juice, TIANA Fair Trade Organic Pure Active Honey
and yogurt in a blender. - 2. Blitz to combine.
- 3. Pour the resulting smoothie into a tall glass
and serve.
8TIANA SPICY COCONUT CUSTARD
- Ingredients
- 280 ml coconut milk (dilute 1 part TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness with 3 parts
of water to make coconut milk) - 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves
- 300 ml cream
- 250 ml water
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- Method
- Preheat the oven to 160 C. Place spices, cream
and water in a pan. Bring to simmering, reduce
heat and leave for 5 minutes to allow the spices
to flavor the liquid. - Add sugar and coconut milk (made with TIANA Fair
Trade Raw Organic Coconut Goodness) to the pan,
return to low heat until sugar has dissolved. - Whisk the eggs and egg yolks in a bowl and pour
the spiced mixture over the eggs stir to
combine. Pour the custard mixture into ½ cup
dishes. Place in a baking dish pour in hot water
to come halfway up the sides. Bake for 40-45
minutes. - Insert a knife in the center of one of the
custards, the mixture should be only slightly
wobbly. Serve hot or chilled.
9FRUIT WITH COCONUT MILK
Ingredients 100 ml coconut milk (dilute 1
part TIANA Fair Trade Organic Raw Coconut
Goodness with 3 parts of water to make coconut
milk) 3 tablespoons TIANA Fair Trade Organic
Coconut Nectar 500 g organic fresh fruit cut into
pieces of your choice (bananas, strawberries,
pineapple, mango etc.) Method To prepare the
coconut milk simply warm TIANA Fair Trade Organic
Raw Coconut Goodness by standing it in hot water
for up to 10 minutes. Once the content becomes a
thick semi liquid then stir thoroughly. Use 1
part of TIANA Fair Trade Organic Raw Coconut
Goodness with 3 parts water. Combine coconut
milk (made with TIANA Fair Trade Organic Raw
Coconut Goodness) with TIANA Fair Trade Organic
Coconut Nectar and cool in freezer. Before
serving mix up fruit with coconut milk (made
with TIANA Fair Trade Organic Raw Coconut
Goodness) and serve immediately.
