Title: How To Figure Out The Home Buyer Is Not Serious?

1
How To Figure Out The Home Buyer Is Not Serious?
A serious buyer will be pre-qualified, have a
real estate agent and will be ready to make an
offer on your home. Unfortunately, not all buyers
will be this serious. If you have your home on
the market, you may have had a handful of people
come through your home thinking about purchasing
it, but how do you decide if this buyer is
serious or not?

5 Signs to Look for to Differentiate B/W Serious
and Non-Serious Homebuyers
You may be able to separate the serious buyer
from the sightseers by looking for these signs
1. Are His/her Finances in Order?2. Do They
Have an Agent?3. Do They Ask the Right
Questions?4. A Speedy Visit5. It Just Began

1. Are His/her Finances in Order?
Perhaps the largest indicator that a buyer is
interested in a home is by determining that their
finances in order. This can include a
pre-approval letter or a bank statement proving
they have the cash on hand.
4
2 Do They Have an Agent?
While not all buyers will work with a real estate
agent, it's often a good sign if they are working
with one. Having a real estate agent proves the
buyer went through the initial stage of
researching local agents to find one they feel
comfortable representing them. It also shows they
are serious about the home purchasing process.

3 Do They Ask the Right Questions?
When a potential buyer views a home, a selling
agent likes to hear the right questions. This may
include if any problems exist, if certain
renovations could be done to the yard or if
certain fixtures come with the home. This shows
you that they are envisioning themselves living
on the property thinking about what they could
potentially do to make themselves comfortable.

4 A Speedy Visit
Running through the home like it's a race could
be a sign they were either looking for something
in particular or the home turned them off right
when they pulled into the driveway. While a
speedy visit isn't always necessarily a bad
thing, a serious buyer often will at least ask a
few important questions before getting back into
the car.
7
5 It Just Began
The average homeowner can take up to three months
to purchase their new home. If they are viewing
your home on day one, it doesn't necessarily mean
they won't be interested, but it isn't a good
sign either. Most buyers will have a set number
of houses they will want to view before making
their big decision and being one of the first
homes they look at usually won't receive an offer.
8
While it may be hard to spot a bystander, it's
always great to have people walk your property
because it means your house is ready for the
market and is priced to sell.
