Mercury

• It ranges in brightness from about -2.0 to 5.5 in
  apparent magnitude
• Mercury is the innermost and smallest planet in
  the solar system, orbiting the Sun once every 88
  days
• Mercury has many craters

• The planet is named after Venus, the Roman
  goddess of love
• Venus is also known as the "morning star" or the
  "evening star" since it is visible and quite
  bright at either dawn or dusk

• It is the planet we evolved on and the only
  planet in our Solar System that is known to
  support life
• The Earth is about 7,926 miles in diameter

• Occasionally, there are clouds in Mars'
  atmosphere Most of these clouds are composed of
  carbon dioxide ice crystals or, less frequently,
  of frozen water crystals
• Mars' surface temperature averages -81 F

• Jupiter is so big that all the other planets in

• Wasnt discovered until the 19th century
• Neptune was named after the roman god of water
