Steps to Make Pasta Sauce

• Empty two large cans of crushed tomatoes into a
  large stock pot.
• In a skillet sauté one large yellow onion and
  three to four garlic cloves to taste. Cook
  until golden.
• Into onion mixture add one small can of tomato
  paste. Stir until evenly distributed with
  onions.

• Fill the tomato paste can with water and add to
  the pan with the onion mixture. Cook for two to
  three minutes.
• Add onion mixture to the crushed tomatoes in the
  stock pot.
• Add seasonings to taste. My favorites include
  oregano, parsley, and basil. As well as salt
  and pepper.

• Simmer sauce for three to four hours.
• For even better results, add one pound lean
  hamburger to the skillet before sautéing the
  onions and garlic and add that to the stock pot
  before proceeding with the onion mixture.
