Step 1 - Budget
  • When building a PC we need to focus on the budget
depending on which and around which you will
    build the system.
  • With the budget you fix its easier to buy
computer parts that fit inside this budget.
  • Setting a budget for building a PC helps you to
keep in mind the kind of hardware you will be
    adding to your case.
  • Since we will be building a budget gaming PC
having a cheaper budget is essential.
  • We dont want to go over our budget and
    compromise on the hardware.

Step 2 Picking the parts
  • Choosing parts for your computer can be difficult
at times also whether or not to buy your parts
online or to get them from somewhere offline.
  • You can buy computer parts online or offline and
both provide reviews and advice that you need.
  • Through an online retailer you will have reviews
of consumers who have used the hardware and also
ratings for the hardware that you will pick.
  • Certain websites like JW computers, Amazon etc
provide options to compare two similar types of
hardware. Where you can compare two products in
    detail.
  • An offline retailer will provide expertise on the
product limited to what knowledge they have of
    the hardware.
  • Depending on the kind of retailer you go for you
can buy computer parts online or offline.

  • Make sure you pick parts that dont exceed your
    budget.
  • Start off by choosing a processor and
motherboard. Since this will be a budget gaming
PC selecting an Intel Pentium processor with a
supporting board or an AMD Ryzen 3 processor with
    an AMD socket board.
  • You may also pick Intels i3 processors for a few
    extra bucks.
  • After youve added the board and processor choose
a ram specific for the tasks you will perform in
this case gaming, a single 8gb ram stick will be
able to handle multiple tasks with ease.
  • After youve selected your ram storage is next.
For this build you will need a solid state drive
probably a 128 gig drive to boot your system off
of accompanied by a 1 TB hard disk drive.
  • A graphic card needs to be a part of this system
and Nvidias GTX 1060 or AMD Radeons RX 560 or
    570 is the right fit.
  • A 500watt or more on the power supply computer is
    good to go.
  • All this enclosed in a mid tower budget case.

Step 3 The Setup
  • Start with the motherboard and the processor.
Carefully place the processor on the motherboard
with the tiny arrows aligned to each other.
  • Lower the clip on the board to lock the processor
in place, apply a pea sized thermal compound on
to the processor and place your CPU cooler on the
    processor.
  • The next step is to add the ram stick on the
board and placing this entire setup into the
case. Install the motherboard stand offs and
    screw in the motherboard.
  • The next step is to connect your entire setup
with your power supply installed in the system.
  • Then you add the hard disk drive and the solid
    state drive.
  • The next piece of hardware is the graphics card
that needs to be installed in one of the PCI-E
    slots.

  • That completes the setup of your CPU. Make sure
you have connected your keyboard and mouse.
  • Apart from all the hardware connect the hardware
to one of the cheap monitors from Australia that
    you picked up.
  • You can also buy a high end or average gaming
monitor which can be later upgraded.
  • Once all your peripherals are connected its time
to boot the system. And install windows and other
software that you will need for the system.
  • Install all the games you will be running and
your system is ready to go.

Step 4 Benchmarking and Testing
  • Once the setup is complete and running windows
smoothly its time to test the system.
  • You can use third party benchmarking tools or run
the in game benchmarks to test your graphics card
    performance.
  • In order to test the other hardware you can run
benchmarks through certain tools that will
    provide you accurate results.
  • Start by running a game that wont eat up too
much graphics and do a benchmark, slowly and
gradually moving to game titles that demand more
    graphics and cpu processing power.
  • There you have it a budget gaming setup.
