  • Topic is your choice (w/approval)
  • Pick something that interests you
  • Must be relevant to ISQA424, Network and Client
    Operating Systems
  • Should be 7-8 minutes in length
  • Must be accompanied by PowerPoint slides
  • Figure approx. 2 minutes for a dense slide, more
    or less
  • Practice talking about your slides
  • There will be a signup sheet for slots later
  • Please attend being absent affects your score
  • Presentation is 20 of your class grade
  • Not as major as exams, but not a small amount

Presentation Process
  • Pick a topic (due 5/2/01)
  • Hand in a paragraph or so describing your topic
    and how it relates to ISQA424
  • Ill respond with suggestions in E-mail
  • Or ask for clarification
  • Make an outline of your talk (due 5/9/01)
  • Major points you want to cover
  • Does not have to be complete, but should give you
    and me confidence in how the talk will turn out
  • Ill respond with suggestions in E-mail
  • Research and prepare your talk
  • Use web, trade journals/magazines, library,
    interviews, etc.
  • Mail me your slides (due the day before your
    presentation)
  • Ill put them on the SBA340 desk machine before
    class

  • Pick something that interests you
  • More fun/less dread, more useful
  • But stay relevant to the class ?
  • Teach us something
  • If you present mainly facts, make them useful
    facts, and be thorough
  • If you have opinions, or insight, or real-world
    experience, tell us about it!
