Title: Where to Buy the Premium Quality Indian Winding Wire?

1
Where to Buy the Premium Quality Indian Winding
Wire?
2
Winding Wire is the enamelled wires of copper and
aluminium, coated with a very thin layer of
insulation. Its usage is mainly in the
construction of transformers, inductors, motors,
speakers, hard disk head actuators, which require
tight coils of insulated wires. The most suitable
materials for winding wire applications are
unalloyed pure metals, particularly Copper which
is considered as the first choice conductor. A
large amount of portion of copper that is mined
is used to manufacture electric wire.
3
Copper wires high strength resists stretching
and breaking, making it very dependable in
providing uninterrupted supply. The metal high
ductility makes it more desirable to be used in
various applications. Copper has a unique
combination of high strength and ductility. That
is why copper wires can be twisted, bent and
pulled without breaking. Another commendable
property of copper is being creep and corrosion
resistant. In addition, copper, being flexible
can be easily installed. It makes the best
winding wires and aluminium is used as an
alternative.
4
Electrolytically refined copper is the most
suitable when making electromagnetic coils. This
wire, though described as enamelled, is not, in
fact coated with a layer of enamel paint or
vitreous enamel made of fused glass powder. These
wires typically use one to four layers of polymer
film insulation, often of two different
compositions to provide tough insulating layer.
5
Here self supporting coils are wound with wire
coated with at least two layers, the outermost
being a thermoplastic that bonds the turns
together when heated. There are other types of
insulation such as fibreglass yarn with varnish,
aramid paper, kraft paper, mica and polyester
film which are widely used across the world for
various applications like transformers and
reactors.
6
Like other wires, Indian Winding Wires are
classified by diameter, temperature class and
insulation class. It is interesting to know here
that smaller diameter winding wire usually has a
round cross-section, used commonly, for electric
guitar pickups. Thickness of covering can be of
three types which can be assessed in grades.
Higher the grades, thicker the insulation.
Winding wire is used in winding of electric
motors, transformers, inductors, generators,
headphones, loudspeaker coils hard drive head
positioners, electromagnets and many other
devices.
