What is JWC?

• Is a non-profit organization who meets once a
  month at 1400 N.Mesa El Paso, Texas
• It was founded in 1934 by Mrs.Sam Watkins,
  president of the Womans Club

Mission Statement

• The purpose of the organization is to support
  charitable undertakings by fostering interest
  among its members in the social,
  educational,cultural and civic activities of
  their community and to actively aid charitable
  causes through volunteer services to the
  community.

• Are committees in charge of issues within the
  club
• Ways and means Spooktacular Committee
• Are committees in charge of segments about the
  event, Spooktacular.

Internal Affairs Commitee

• Internal Affairs Committee consists of the
  following
• Hostess
• In charge of the food and details for general
  meetings
• Yearbook
• In charge of designing and creating the clubs
  yearbook
• Hostpitality
• In charge of thank you parties for members
  after accomplishments have been met

Spooktacular Commitee

• What is Spooktacular?
• Spooktacular is one of the main events that The
  Junior Womans Club (JWC) is in charge of. It is
  a childrens carnival designed to provide a save
  trick or treating environment. Is a carnival
  held every year at the Grand Hall Civic Center
  the last weekend of October.

• Design and create a Childrens Golf Course
• Haunted House
• Design and create a Haunted House

• Design and create the events tickets and obtain
  contacts to sell tickets to

• Schedule members for hours to be volunteer at
  the event

• In charge of acquiring companies to buy booths
  at the carnival so companies can sell their
  products.

• In charge of promoting the event

  the craft center for children

• In charge of designing, creating activities
  within the cakewalk center

Present

• Members are still using mail and telephones for
  means of communication among members
• Some members use their cell phones
• To communicate there is also electronic mail but
  only ten out of about one hundred people use it

Future

• In the future I see the the telephone committee
  coming almost non-existent
• All members will acquire an e-mail account . No
  need to call every member because each member
  will be responsible for checking their e-mail on
  a regular basis.

Future

• The printing/publicity committee will reduce
  costs and time. There will be a reduction in the
  members of this committee therefore replacing
  these members to committees where there is a high
  demand for help.
• A web-page will be designed to announce
  upcoming meetings, birthdays, anniversaries,
  updates on every committee and to advertise main
  events.

Future

• By the use of telecommunications, JWC will be
  able to save time, paper, money and most
  importantly to communicate more effectively and
  efficiently.
