The collaboration of business professionals and
teachers working together to expose our students
to various careers, teach appropriate work
ethics, and help the students to apply their
school studies to the world outside of the
classroom.

• Adult role models share expertise not usually
  shared with student
• Increase in resources and services enhance the
  education of students
• Provide assistance to teachers and administrators
• Improve understanding of the business world
• Create real life, meaningful, learning situations
• Reinforcement of what teachers are teaching

Some suggested ways businesses can be involved
in schools

• Classroom speakers
• Classroom demonstrations
• Field Trip to your place of business
• Attend special events at school (class program,
  Field Day, holiday parties)
• Business professionals mentor students by
  participating in the Lunch Buddies Program (share
  lunch with a student once every two weeks) or the
  Reading Buddies Program (read to students or
  listen to students read). This requires an
  Orientation session and Criminal Background
  Check.
• Sponsor a Student Award or Motivation program for
  your adopted classroom
• Become pen pals with students from the adopted
  classroom
• Judges for school events (Poster Contests,
  Entrepreneurship Fair, etc.)
• Display student art work
